About me

My name is Jamie Rougvie and I have just got a degree in Information Technology. This site is to show off some of the work I’ve done during my degree as well new things I am working on.

I have grown up using computers from a very young age and had a passion to work within the IT industry. I have learnt my IT skills from a wide range of resources, online, books, trial and error and at University. I have just finished my degree in Information Technology and it was here that I found out about my passion for Development as I find it challenging, but also having the ability to make things better really drives me. I hope to get a job doing software development or building mobile apps.

Hobbies

In my spare time I have a wide range of things I like to do. I am always trying to improve my skills. I do this mainly by reading books and searching online for information. I am currently reading books on Java and Android to add to my current skill set.

I am also interested in Computer Security this is more like a hobby, in my spare time I volunteer with the BCS (British computer society) and their YPISG (Young Professional Information Security Group) This is a new group but we hope to guide young professionals who wish to get into the security field.

I also like to meet new people and socialize as well as going to concerts and helping others to understand technology.
